Getting here
Located in the heart of Nootka Sound, the only cabin in the Bligh Island Marine Park. There is no road access, and so you must arrive via boat, seaplane, or kayak.
Different options to get here:
1) Gold River: Boaters can launch from the Gold River Boat launch. The boat ride takes about 1.5 hrs.
2) Cougar Creek or Moocha Bay: Boaters or kayakers can launch from either the provincial park Cougar Creek or private marina Moocha Bay. Both are approximately 1hr drive towards Tahsis from Gold River.
3) MV Uchuk: Kayakers can use this passenger cruiser that runs from Gold River to Yuquot (Friendly Cove) twice a week during the summer months. Yuquot is about 7km from the lodge’s location.
4) Chartered seaplane: fly right up to the door with a seaplane.
The space
This floating lodge can host up to 8 people and three boats and is located on Bligh Island in Nootka Sound. It has 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom.
The lodge is entirely self-catered and self-operated and is accessible only via boat, kayak, or sea plane.
